A Walk Down Memory Lane
My first official photoshoot was with a friend I’ve known since elementary school. It was an engagement session, and it felt so special to capture such a big moment in her life. What made it even more meaningful was that we went to a spot where my friends and I used to take pictures back in high school. It was nostalgic and fun to return to a place filled with memories — only this time, I was behind the camera with a real purpose.
That shoot taught me a lot about how important comfort and familiarity are when working with clients. Because we already had a connection, she was relaxed and genuine in front of the lens, which made my job so much easier. It was exciting to realize that photography wasn’t just about snapping pretty pictures — it was about capturing authentic stories and emotions.
Looking back, that first session was more than just an engagement shoot; it was the moment I felt like I’d found my calling. It gave me the confidence to keep learning and growing, and it sparked my passion for helping people celebrate their most important moments through photography.
